Family Guy's Cleveland Spinoff is Trading Races

It’s a well-known fact that the voice of Cleveland, the only prominant black character on Fox’s Family Guy, is done by a white guy (Mike Henry, one of the show’s writers). Well now he’ll be getting his own spin-off, The Cleveland Show, in 2009, where the character will be moving to Virginia with his new family.
And the best part (aside from the fact that Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long are both in the cast) is that the show will feature a white “redneck” neighbor who is being played by seasoned voice actor Kevin Richardson, who is (you guessed it!) a black man. White is black and black is white? WHAT WILL AMERICA THINK?! The crossing of streams brings to mind some famous race reversals of the past. Check ‘em out after the jump.
